“Good morning” from Lenexa! After getting home at 2:30 in the morning and sleeping for 13 hours, I feel halfway rested after the 2024 session.

Ready to get back to fundraising and earning another two years in Topeka. Let’s do this!

The Kansas House of Representatives is adjourned Sine Die until January 13, 2025.

To the People of District 108, thank you for trusting me to be your voice in Topeka. Together, we've done so much. First, rest. Tomorrow, we chart our future.

We're currently listening to the House Leadership speeches, thanking their staff and the folks who make this building operate. Great use of time while the Revisors finish up remaining bills.

I voted NO on suspending the midnight rule. We shouldn’t be doing the people’s business in the middle of the night.

There is talk of suspending the midnight rule in the . Sine Die in the HCR says that April 30th is Sine Die. Not May 1st. We should not be making policy in the middle of the night. Questionable about the constitutionality of anything passed after midnight...

On Final Action, the CCR for HB 2551: Omnibus Budget Bill passes 72-48. I voted YES.

While the budget isn't perfect, our committee worked hard to hold House positions in the budget.

We're back on the House floor and another tornado warning just went off. Welcome to lawmaking in the Sunflower State, y'all.

The latest tax proposal from the Tax Conference Committee got even more expensive than the last one the Governor vetoed, citing the long-term costs of the plan. Are we serious about passing a tax plan the Governor will sign or not?
