One of my favorite Fun Facts: Helen Wills and Helen Jacobs both grew up in Berkeley. In 1924, when Wills was 19, her parents sold their Shattuck Avenue home to the parents of 16-year-old Helen Jacobs. So the future tennis rivals spent their high school years in the same house!
