i would like to formally apologise to any room runner i have accused of booking an all-male lineup just because the gig poster had photos and names of 87 men on it & no photos or names of non-men. It was very silly of me not to notice the words “and more” and i am deeply sorry :(

If there's a comedy venue or night or even a podcast that constantly only has men on it chances are the problem isn't they haven't asked enough women. Maybe women realise they can say no so they don't have to work in a toxic environment.

The fact that whoever’s running The Comic’s Lounge’s social media chose to go after a woman who didn’t even @ them at 2-3am on a Saturday night - despite plenty of dudes doing similar tweets that they’ve let slide - pretty well sums up everything wrong with this venue.
