Downed trees, blocked roads, and darkened buildings across southern Wisconsin from last night's powerful storms. Madison Gas and Electric reports that this is the most widespread power outages in Madison since the Great Ice Storm of 1976. . . almost 50 years ago!

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Wisconsin until 12 AM CDT

This tornado warning is headed for our station in Prairie du Sac and then towards our Arlington station.

We are approaching our prime time for severe weather across the state. Follow NWS Severe Tstorm and NWS Tornado for warnings.

Warm air continuing to push northward in south-central Wisconsin, with gusty southeasterly winds.

The forecast for this evening remains on track.

Isolated storms the next few hours that will have hail, wind, and tornado threat. One has developed just southwest of Dubuque, IA. Another trying to develop in southern Green County.

Line of severe storms comes through after 6pm.
