UPDATE-Fire in the 3900 Block of Wyandotte E is reported to be under control. Ventilation is set up in the south stairwell. Fire contained to the main fire occupancy (unit). Full upgrade on scene. EMS and WPS assisting WFRS. Light smoke still reported on the 3rd floor. *JS

UPDATE-3900 Wyandotte E fire: Crews finishing up at the scene. Their quick response kept the fire on the 3rd storey balcony. Less than $5k in damages. 3 occupants with minor injuries treated on scene. Cause suspected to be by the improper discard of smoking materials.*JS

One occupant received minor burns from an exterior fire at a residence in the 4000 Block of Timber Trail. Fire occurred a little before 4:30 pm. Fire investigator attending address. *JS

UPDATE: 1000 Blk of Parent Ave. fire is out. Fire contained to the chimney area. Less than $2k in damages. Wood fireplace chimneys require professional inspections, cleaning to prevent creosote buildup, and safe burning practices. Never leaving a fire unattended. *JS

UPDATE: 4000 Blk of Timber Trail fire started on exterior of the house from improper discarding of smoking materials. One male treated on scene by EMS for 1st and 2nd degree burns to a hand. $75k in damages to a garage, shed, fence, natural gas meter and an electrical meter. *JS

Update Longfellow fire: primary search completed on all floors. Fire extension into the second level and interior crews have agent applied. EMS and WPS on scene assisting. Fire under control. District Chief has assumed command of the fire in the residential structure. *JS

Update 1800 Block of Longfellow fire: Fire is out. Investigator attending the address to determine origin and cause of the fire. No injuries reported. Damage estimate to follow. All occupants were out of the house upon arrival of fire crews.*JS

Update 1800 Block of Longfellow fire: Investigation completed. Fire originated in an outdoor open flame grill located too close to a structure made of combustible material. Approximately $500k in damages. Occupants have been displaced from their home because of the damage. *JS

Update on fire at Fountainbleu Towers: Additional vehicles from the upgrade are being cancelled. Fire on stove top has been extinguished. Fire crews are ventilating smoke from the fire with an electric fan. Occupant is out of the unit. No injuries reported.*JS

Update on fire in the 3200 Block of Linwood Place. District Chief has changed strategies from defensive to offensive fire attack. . Crews have entered the structure where a fire occurred last month to ensure no one is inside. All clear on primary and secondary searches.*JS

4100 Block of Walker Road required 4 WFRS vehicles at a commercial structure for the report of smoke indoors. Issue located at a roof top HVAC unit at approximately 9:40 pm. All vehicle have cleared the address.*JS
