Mrs. Smith’s fifth grade class had a Jurassic World TCAP review day. We hear they had a roaring time revisiting important skills. We know they are ready to show off their knowledge next week!

Mrs. Morris’s students were detectives for an activity today to find the missing treats.

Mrs. Bargatze’s class has been observing and comparing the carrots and flowers they planted.

Mrs. Saad’s class has been learning how people can care for birds so they can live and grow. Today, these bird advocates built and decorated a bird house and planned out their writing for their How to Build a Bird House book. What a fun day in first grade! 🦅

Mrs. L Davis and Mrs. Prewitt were honored last night for their upcoming retirement. These ladies deserve to be celebrated. They work hard and bring joy to the halls of WES You both will be greatly missed!! Thank you for all you have done throughout the years for our Spartans!

Mrs. Kingston was recently recognized at the Rutherford County Teacher of the year banquet! Thank you Mrs. Kingston for going above and beyond for the students at Wilson and for shining your light in the hallways of WES!

Mrs. Bargatze collaborated with our fabulous art teacher, Mrs.Bohn to create 3D birds for their culminating task in our EL module on Birds Amazing Bodies. In addition to this, these bird experts wrote about what body parts help specific birds survive. Lisa Kegler RCSElemEd

One of our favorite Wilson Elementary Traditions…4th and 5th grade kickball tournament! Mrs. Wilson’s class won the kickball 2023 championship game! Oliver Berryhill was named WES’s first ever MVP! Congratulations Mrs. Wilson’s class on your win.

Lots going on around Wilson this week: Ethan received an honorable mention art award from MTSU. Mrs. L Davis and Mrs. Prewitt were celebrated for their 20 years of service at WES and their retirement. Mrs. Steagall’s eggs are hatching just in time for Summer!

The best way to send the buses off is another great WES tradition! Lots of waves, teary smiles, and honking! And that concludes the 2022-2023 school year…what a great year it has been.

Wilson Elementary is well represented at the Elevate Conference this week! These Kindergarten and 2nd grade teachers will share what they learn with the rest of the WES team in August! Have a great time ladies.

WES teachers got together for a Christmas Painting Party. The painting was hosted by Mrs. Bargatze and the painting was led by Mrs. Dill. We all had a great time and loved how different each persons painting turned out.
