Last week we kicked off our comic design workshops with Fresh. The 12 young people created ‘zines’, small handmade booklets with text and images personal to them that they will develop in the coming weeks.

Year 7 & 8 students from St Aloysius' College and William Ellis School, along with Year 10 students from Channing and St. Aloysius' College came together for a captivating reading and discussion session at the Highgate Literary & Scientific Institution.

Ski trip update: We are at the airport and our flight is on time. Yesterday gave us the best weather for skiing we are returning with a few rosy cheeks. ETA at William Ellis is 14:00.

Ski Trip Update: Yesterday saw two ski groups ski over the border from Switzerland to Austria. Last night we had a go at traditional Austrian bowling and James gave the locals a lesson in climbing. Last day of skiing today.

Lots of snow today! An epic snowball fight at lunch had Mr Altmann running for cover. All the boys are skiing on the main slopes now and full of confidence. Pizza night and a walk through the old town this evening.

Progress is the word of the day of the ski trip. The first timers are now skiing with precision and control and the experienced skiers have literally taken off!

We wish everybody in our school community a restful and enjoyable Easter break. We're hoping for warmer weather for the start of Summer Term and perhaps a growth spurt for our eco-club projects!

In the penultimate week of our #ArtOfDispute project, pupils at William Ellis School & La Sainte Union refined their #poetry using a range of editing techniques. It was a great opportunity for them to practice for their performance in week 6 and consolidate all their hard work!

The Ski Trip departs too!

What a busy week it's been in school! Futures events for Sixth Formers, Year 7 Debating Club visited Parliament, Year 11 Art students went to the National Portrait Gallery, musicians have performed together at the Performance Platform and we met our new Year 7 families!

William Ellis School La Sainte Union His trial led to the Independence of the Jury, a law still in place today. Also can you spot one of our poetry books on the William Ellis bookshelf?!

Thanks to his fingers have left for running the project, and John Lyon's Charity for funding.

Last week our #ArtOfDispute students at William Ellis School & La Sainte Union used extracts from William Mead’s trial to inspire their poems. Mead owned Lauderdale House and was persecuted in the 1670s for disrupting the peace as he was a Quaker.

Parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can come to Swiss Cottage Library on Wed 20 March, 10am to 1pm, to find info about support, activities and services for them and their family.
