School Council have been very busy!. They have planted new plants in our recently rejuvenated flower bed in the YR/Y1 outdoor area. Huge shout out to Mr & Mrs Adams for painting the flower bed frame over the weekend. One step closer to our Manx Wildlife Trust Schools Award….!

A busy start to the week at Willaston School ⬇️

We are working towards the Manx Wildlife Trust Wilder School Award.

🌸🌻Mrs Brain, Ms Wade and lots of volunteers dug out the weeds ready to plant our wild flower seeds. 🌺🌼

Mr Brain has made lots of bug hotels and a bird house out of recycled wood. Huge thank you Mr Brain ❤️

It may be the 19th but it is the first term-time #Friday of the month which means its time for the #April newsletter! A hard copy should have come home via the children, and don't forget you can download it on our website, or pick up spare copies from school!

What are Y3 up to I hear you ask? They have just started learning about The Stone Age so they went outside to draw bluestones which were used to create Stonehenge. Each stone is 9m x 3m. Y3 discovered the class could fit round the perimeter & they had lots of fun finding this out

⚽️🏀🏈 Year Three has their last session of sport with the UCM students today. They have had such a fabulous time. Thank you to Andy for organising! 🏈🏀⚽️

🐑🐏Well Reception and Year One had a fabulous trip to the farm this afternoon. They saw lots of baby lambs and calves. The farmer was brilliant and told them lots about his job and how he looked after the baby lambs. He had over 600 baby lambs! 🐄🐄

Y5 have been raising money to adopt endangered animals after reading the book The Last Bear. They planned a sponsored beach litter pick which raised £281.50! They had hoped to adopt a polar bear but raised enough to also adopt a gorilla, a tiger, a rhino and a penguin. 🐻‍❄️🐅🦏🦍🐧
