Congrats to Emmie Boese Amezola! She interned at Ark Valley News and now works for The Sunflower, so it's fitting that she should be the winner of the Les Anderson Memorial SPJ Scholarship, honoring Ark Valley News founder and Elliott School faculty member Les Anderson.

Allison Campbell is pursuing a career in journalism because she is passionate about serving and protecting the helpless and underserved. The The Sunflower reporter and photographer is a recipient of the Bill Warren SPJ Scholarship.
Elizabeth Sandstrom hopes to use her skills in photojournalism to educate, document and artistically provoke thoughts and emotions. Currently a photographer for the K-State Collegian, she is this year's recipient of the Randy Brown Memorial SPJ Scholarship.
Congrats to Cuyler Dunn, recipient of a Bill Warren SPJ Scholarship. From creating newspapers on construction paper in second grade to pursuing a journalism degree at University of Kansas, he's always been a storyteller. He wants to use journalism to hold those in power accountable.
“Being a fan of the game, playing the game, and reporting/commentating a game are all three different worlds, but when you’re able to help others relate to all three perspectives your job is made easy,” says mya peterson, a University of Kansas student and sports journalist.
Congrats to Parker McGowan, recipient of the Bill Roy Memorial SPJ Scholarship named for the late Wichita Business Journal editor. A K-State sophomore, McGowan works at K-StateHD.TV and is a “Sports Talk” co-host on Wildcat 91.9. He aspires to cover professional sports.
