Children in Year 3 have designed their own wheelbarrows in DT using levers. They tested the length of the handles during the planning stage with the weight of the load and designed the shape of each wheelbarrow using careful measurements. Super work.

Year 4 used potatoes to create their own mountains with contour lines around them. As part of their landscape topic, they learnt how contours show how steep a mountain or hill is. It involved measuring the contour lines carefully, combining their geography and maths skills.

It has been great to welcome parents into school for the families connect workshops with Mrs Gotts and Mrs Moore.

I have had a wonderful tour today of Whitehouse Community Primary School. Luckily it is #WorldBookDay so I was able to meet a wide range of my favourite book characters including Little Princess and a Witch...Meg and Mog was one of my faves as a kid! Great school! Whcps HT

Year 4 had a great day experiencing life in a Victorian classroom.

Six of our Yr2 pupils had lots of fun taking part in the U7 Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. They demonstrated excellent team work throughout the festival. Well done everyone.

Eight of our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic morning taking part in the U11 Dynamo Cricket event at Ransomes Sports Ground. The team finished 3rd overall - well done.

Year 2 had a super day out at Duxford. They even enjoyed watching some aerobatics whilst eating their lunch! Behaviour on the trip was impeccable. Well done everyone.

We did it! We are extremely proud to announce that, after all our hard work and effort we have achieved the Gold Sports Mark Award again. Well done everyone, and thank you to Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games for all of your support.

We are delighted to announce that in addition to our Gold School Games Sports Mark, we have successfully been awarded with the Youth Sport Trust Silver PE Quality Mark! This award celebrates the hard work, progress and high quality of our PE provision.

Six of our Yr1 pupils had a brilliant morning taking part in the KS1 Panathlon event on Friday. With some excellent sporting skills shown by the team they received bronze medals for finishing 3rd place overall. Well done!

Our Reception children have created a lovely display of poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day.

Year six children enjoyed an interactive session with their parents, learning about how and why the Ancient Egyptians mummified their pharaohs by practising mummification on a tomato!

World Book Day 2023 has been amazing at Whitehouse. Well done everyone - super costumes.

The children are really pleased with the new outdoor classroom and hope to have lots of lessons outside during the summer term.

It has been great to welcome so many visitors to school this week to see our wonderful Art exhibition. The children from EYFS to Y6 have used recycled materials to create these fantastic displays. Super work.
