Some excellent follow up work from Reception after their trip to Nell Bank

Class 3 have been looking at 'An Old Women Cooking Eggs' by Diego Velazquez (1618) and discussing the use of light and dark. They then practised creating tint and shades with paint.

Our Reception and Year 6 children have enjoyed sharing some Christmas stories at playtime today.

Class 2 have been building on the weaving skills they developed in Year 1 o create a cape for their model superhero. They used a running stitch to join two pieces of fabric together.

Delighted to report our non-uniform day last Friday for 'Place2Be' for Children's Mental Health Week, raised £165.50. Thank you for your support.

Key Stage Two really enjoyed their workshop with @KateisDrawing this morning for World Book Day.

This week, Class 3 have been using primary sources to find out as much information as they could about the ancient Olympics.

Another fantastic turnout for cross country from KS2. 23 children represented school and as usual, all the children gave their all. A special mention to our year 6 pupils who have competed over their time at Westbrook Lane.

Class 3 enjoyed a fantastic workshop at Horsforth Library. Coalesce Dance Theatre took us on a time travelling adventure to help the human race save Planet Earth. They produced some great posters with advice from their own time-travellers for the humans of today! Leeds Libraries

Class 2 completed their secret agent training today. For their final task, they had to follow a series of clues to find their spy packs.

Due to the sever weather conditions, school will be closed today (10th March). Following our risk assessment, we have had to make this decision in the interests of the safety of the staff, pupils and parents. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The staff enjoyed some Real PE training from @Create_Dev last night. We look forward to sharing more of the ideas with the children. A huge thanks to @creatorabi for her support.

Our rehearsal is going well. Our children are looking forward to performing later.
