We are now on Twitter again! Happy Chinese New Year! On Monday, we had a Chinese New Year parade. After lots of learning and the chance to design and make our own dragons, we then paraded around the playground to celebrate. Thank you to all of the parents that attended!

What a week for KS1! After finding out a spacecraft crashed in our garden, the children investigated what had happened. We found a little alien called Beegu. Poor Beegu! Now we know what happened to her, we can help her to get back home safely.

On Friday, we enjoyed the NSPCC's Number Day. We had lots of fun completing maths challenges, finding Buddy and dressing up!

Year 3 and 4 ended their topic, Road Trip USA by planning and having fun at their American Prom.

Last week LKS2 visited the Natural History Museum. We started to find out about natural disasters so we were ready to begin our topic, Disaster!

This week UKS2 have been to the Imperial War Museum as part of their topic, 'Child's War.' We looked at artefacts and learned about important people during the war. There was lots to do and we found it so interesting.

Last week was World Book Day and we had a lot going on. Dressing up or coming to school in our comfortable pyjamas, comic workshops, creating comics, book swap and Stop, Drop and Read! Children had a fantastic day and even asked to Book Swap on the Friday as well.

The School Communication Team got together today to find out what the school have decided is most important to us when learning about our wider world. As a school, we feel that working and living together will help us in our future. #smartschoolcouncils

Yesterday we celebrated Holi by making samosas and having our own West Hill Festival of Colour. It was lots of fun and very messy!!! Thank you to Mrs Roe and Mrs Minhas for organising this event.

Some of our Year 3 and 4 children went to Dartford Girls' Grammar School this week to learn more about volcanoes. Thank you to the students at DGGS for planning interesting activities. Some of us have even shared our learning with our class.

Year 5 and 6 girls had a great time celebrating International Women’s Day by joining in the biggest ever football match this afternoon. They had fun and we discovered some amazing talent! Look out lionesses! #letgirlsplay

Our netball team played in the Golden thread final against Riverview Juniors today and both teams were crowned champions after a tense game resulting in a 4-4 draw. Well done to the WH netball team and Mrs Giovanelli!

6 KS2 children took part in a multi-sports festival at Culverstone Green Primary. The children had to show lots of important values (trust, teamwork, determination and inspiration) through a range of games Our WH children did brilliantly and represented the school really well.

Our Year 3 children had fun at the St George's Parade today! The weather stayed dry and although there was a lot of walking, we listened to music, saw some fantastic characters and met with other schools in the community.

"The Best Celebration Ever!" That is what one of our pupils said... and it certainly was a fun afternoon. Thank you to all of the parents that helped us to celebrate Eid and to everyone that came along. We hope that you all had a fantastic time!
