AGCs closing at 10pm will be devastating for hard-pressed operators providing entertainment to evening workers and supporting the Britain's High Streets. No AGC has been associated with a Covid outbreak because they are safe. UK Govt. should not require them to close early.

The Prime Minister's announcement today which includes AGCs in Tier 3 premises that will have to close, is disappointing. We have demonstrated that they constitute a minimal risk of transmission.

bacta is furious the Govt hasn't listened to evidence keeping FECs, AGCs and pubs closed until May 17. FECs have lost 7 bank holidays and 2 Easter weekends. Although Covid safe, AGCs are the only shops not allowed to open on the high street. Pub suppliers are at breaking point
