2022 started with me having Covid. 2023 I’m having the WORST cluster of RA flare ups (currently bone searing pain in shoulder joint) … so starting year in a haze courtesy of a prescription-level dose of codeine & hot water bottle strapped to upper arm. Meh to 2023!

Think I’ve got Not-Covid. Sore throat, tight chest upper chest that creates an annoying little cough and slight temperature. Naproxen (for the RA) and codeine is helping. I sound like I’m about to lose my voice though, so could be heaven for my family!

Love it when two different team development & cultural assessments indicate the same themes influencing people’s behaviours. I know I’m sad, but it shows our approach is working & we can advise with authenticity. Conversations can flourish!

It’s 1.15am. Had a “Thanos” hand today as my blessed RA inflamed my left hand & pain set the joints nicely. As I await industrial strength naproxen & codeine to do their worst, I feel my right hand start to flare up as my left wrist joins the party as well. Gotta laugh, eh?

RA flare up in jaw! Only second time it’s happened & first time was not fun. Cue days of looking like a ventriloquist’s dummy & potentially having to shove jaw back into line like last time. Gonna be naproxen for breakfast with a codeine chaser …! Be kind tomorrow, colleagues!x

IDAHOBIT, celebrated annually on 17 May, is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about discrimination, violence, and challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community.

Thanks to the iCTM team who invited us to their team day today to talk about Equality Impact Assessments and how they can support us to foster an inclusive culture at CTM. Great to hear from our CTMUHB Staff Networks too and those who shared lived experiences.
