Smiling my way into two half days for parent conferences and then a long Thanksgiving weekend! What are you thankful for?

Tuesday is traditionally Pie Day at Washington Grove ES. Tonight I stuffed Oatmeal Pies into SoWell Members mailboxes as a little extra treat for Thanksgiving! 🦃🥧

3rd gr Washington Grove ES had a fabulous virtual field trip with meteorologist Joeseph Martínez T44. He spoke in Spanish & English about forecasting weather, weather balloons, radars, satellites, & broadcasting the weather on TV. Gracias! Telemundo 44 DC NBC4 Washington

OMG! It is snowing Washington Grove ES! Staff & students have their faces pressed up to windows waving at each other through the courtyard. Hope there is more snow to come this winter. This teacher needs some snow days!

A little late posting but it was another fabulous PIE DAY Celebration Washington Grove ES the day before Thanksgiving. Congratulations to our 5 winners!

Hung Mr HoHo up yesterday in the rain and he turned it into snow last night PLUS gave us a 2 hour delay!

It was the 3rd annual Cookie Exchange here Washington Grove ES today. Can't wait to try all them this weekend with my family!

Several Washington Grove ES staff spent the evening helping Yellow Boomerang hand out bags of food and gift cards. Thank you #YellowBommerang for supporting families in the community!

One more wake up, one more team planning meeting, and two days of school before Winter Break. I can do this!

The Washington Grove ES PTA surprised the staff with Chick-Fil-a sandwiches, drinks, chips, cookies, and drinks today! Yummies in our tummies 🥰

Dr. Alonso and Sra Hernandez are coming to every classroom Washington Grove ES this week! This afternoon Dr Alonso came to 3rd grade to read about a silly snowman and then the class created their own snowmen! ❄️☃️❄️

It was C is for (Ms Beet's homemade Molasses Gingersnap) Cookie Day Washington Grove ES. 12 lucky winners got to take a box home. Now it's time to go home and relax for the next twelve days. See you on January 3, 2024!

Had the honor of being invited to Gaithersburg Pride graduation this afternoon. It was a proud teacher moment seeing former Washington Grove ES students Danny M, Steven B, Brian P, and Juan Eduardo H all walk across the stage. 💙💛💙💛 MCPS

And so ends year 32 for Rob Wells and year 32 (but offically year 27, maybe) for me!

Made a wonderful connection today! Mr. Bey, the Dr. Sofía Grant-Dewitt 8th gr administrator, came to Washington Grove ES to help support summer school. I got a former student of mine who is a rising 6th grader. Mr. Bey was so excited to meet her & answer questions. Love the smiles @mcps
