Fire Prevention Week 2024 runs from October 6 - 12. This year’s theme is “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work For You”. Install them. Test them. Maintain them. Check the dates on them and replace them when they expire. Make sure your smoke alarms are working for you & your family.

It's #FirePreventionWeek and this year's theme is "Make smoke alarms work for you". Welland Fire wants to remind you that only working smoke alarms can save lives. If you see our crews out in your neighborhood this week doing public education, please come say "Hi".

There are a lot of advertisements going around on social media about fire blankets. Here are some recommendations about fire blankets from WellandFire P.S. judging by the food stain on FPO Atkins' shirt, we think he should've used the fire blanket as a bib instead of a napkin
