Dysregulated children find it difficult to focus on work which is why it’s important that year 2 children complete their emotional check in first. On Friday, we naturally had some tired children so this was a perfect time to get active! myHappymind Rudimental 💜

Sometimes it’s not easy to work as part of a team - especially when you might have got a bit out of practice over the holidays - but 5AW haven’t forgotten - they worked beautifully to “thread” the hoop in teams without letting go - everyone giving their best in PSHE lessons 👏🏻

2F enjoyed exploring the Arts trail Handsworth Park Legacy WM looking at the various materials used and their properties. They were able to say which piece was their favourite and some gave reasons too. 💜💙

Year 3 had a wonderful time visiting St. Mary's Convent as part of our Handsworth project! The children learned all about the significance of places of worship in our locality. A huge thank you to Sister Kathleen and Mrs Smith who guided us around the convent. Legacy WM

Thank you so much to all parents (and children!) in 5AW who supported our Y5 holiday project homework - I think you’ll agree that they’re all epic - all the way from excellent facts to our very own rocketman! 🚀 Such super efforts and FANTASTIC quality 🪐☄️🛸🛰️

Fortners Forest School… 2F enjoyed some time outdoors creating their own leaf artwork. They also enjoyed a little peaceful meditation too. Look at their wonderful designs…

Year 3 had an amazing visit to St Mary's Convent last week. The children were fascinated with the 'old' pictures, examples of traditional nun's clothing, winding corridors, statues and the very beautiful chapel. The children were a credit to the school 😁
