Weaver #ctbb coach Reggie Hatchett on cancellation of state tournament: "They were excited about the possibility of the worst part of their season paying off finally. Now that feeling has been snatched away. For that to come crashing down is a tragedy."

Weaver struggled early but clinched a postseason bid in the final week of the regular season.

A petition asking the CIAC to continue the winter tournament without spectators already has 12,541 signatures.
