The UK Met Office seasonal #hurricane forecast continues the trend of predictions for a hyperactive 2024 Atlantic season, with a most likely forecast of 22 named storms, 12 hurricanes, 4 major (Category 3-5) hurricanes and ACE ~175% of normal.

5)The threat is so acute, industrial insurer FM Global is currently testing and certifying every type of solar panel it can gets its hands on. The company manufactures its own hail and the fires it into the panels measure how much damage is done.
