Higher sun angle, shorter duration of dusk. As the sun angle shifts lower the onset of dusk outpaces almanac sunset times & lengthens. The sun may set :15 earlier vs one month prior yet the onset of dusk is now :30+ earlier than peak. Eye test. If you work outdoors you know.

Poor air quality across New England today (even all the way down to the Jersey Shore!) due to wildfire smoke coming from Canada.

Looks like things have improved from Cape Cod to Maine while further inland remains poor.

It's still crazy to me that this has never been recorded, and only 99 a few times. But heat index routinely reaches 110-115 in the summer. I was in Tampa in July a few years back and it was miserable - gross standing outside, gross at the beach IN the water, gross in the pool too
