.We Said Enough community has pushed #CaLeg staff unions for years because too many of the Capitol’s #metoo survivors are silenced. But as one said, “They can only fire you once. Then you come back and raise hell.” Let’s raise hell for workers against abusers — pass #AB1577!
Since the initial We Said Enough movement, calls for reform have always been carried by brave women in our political community. The work still continues and so does bold women led advocacy! Proud to stand with my sisters-in-justice. ✊🏽💙 Stop Sexual Harassment in Politics
Alicia We Said Enough Stop Sexual Harassment in Politics Thank you so much for standing with us and supporting us, Alicia ✊🏼
Since We Said Enough spoke out in 2017 demanding an end to harassment and assault at the Capitol, we’ve demanded transparency, efficiency, and fair accountability. WSE looks forward to this next stage in the effort to shift the tide towards a safer and fairer #CAleg workplace.
If you’ve been vocal about the #MeToo We Said Enough movement, then greater protections for our farm workers should matter to you. The truth is existing law and enforcement is not effective enough. Workers need a voice and they need representation who can stand with them.
The #SpeakOut bill preventing NDAs in sexual harassment cases passed the Democratic House (again) and is now heading to POTUS to become law. — but a majority of House Republicans said NO. #shame We Said Enough
We proudly joined Theresa Leticia Ramírez-Zipser and 60+ partners to demand a thorough investigation as to whether - as alleged - Justice Alito leaked the Burwell v. Hobby Lobby decision. Any Alito collusion or leak would be a shocking betrayal to the Supreme Court and to the American people.
Proud to stand with Tina McKinnor today at the introduction of #AB1 - a bill to allow #CALeg staff to unionize. We Said Enough continues to stand with staff & will walk the halls for staff to pass this bill this year. 💪🏻
Thank you Senator Dianne Feinstein for your steadfast advocacy and paving the way for many other women after you. As sexual violence survivors we are grateful for your constant insistence that our right to choose and our safety in the workforce are part of the same fight for equality.
6 years: Thousands of calls and e-mails from survivors, over 100 resignations, whistleblower & congressional protections passed. The journey continues. Thank you for the ongoing conversation Capitol Weekly
As a leader in We Said Enough, I take it personally when me Samantha Corbin Alicia or Christine Pelosi’s commitment to #metoo victims is questioned. For 6 years this has been a labor of love for us. Aisha Wahab 愛莎華 your bullying from the dias today was unacceptable. I oppose #SB573
Kudos to the ladies of We Said Enough (Alicia, Samantha Corbin) & my colleagues for backing Capitol staff up today in opposition to this bill. This one is personal on a lot of levels, for all of us, in different ways. #caleg
