Due to the recent tornado that has affected parts of Nashville, there are no classes today (Tuesday, March 3rd) at Watkins. Please stay safe.

An update on the tornado: the college did not sustain any damage, but the power is out. Downed power lines and emergency road crews make traveling to Watkins a challenge and not advisable. As before, the college remains closed today. Please be safe.

A quick update: Watkins remains undamaged by the storm, but it is without power and the college is closed today. However, the directors of student life and facilities are working to assess campus needs as events unfold....

....These measures include food being brought in to campus, as well as implements for cooking, among other steps. We thank you for your patience as Nashville and the college work to adapt to the storm's impact.

Classes are cancelled at Watkins for Wednesday, March 4th.

Wednesday update: Due to the ongoing nature of the recovery efforts from the tornado and Watkins's campus currently being without power, classes today are cancelled. The college has postponed midterm exams until next week....

...We also send thanks to Belmont University, which has extended rooms on its campus to Watkins students in the residence halls, as well as parking passes and dining cards during their stay.

Update: Due to the fact that the Watkins campus remains without power, and in order to assist in the recovery efforts underway in Nashville, Watkins is cancelling classes through Friday, March 6th. The campus will also be closed from 4 p.m. today through Sunday, March 8th...

...Current students in residence are in the process of being relocated to Belmont University for temporary housing and meals; once more, we thank Belmont University for its generosity during this time.

Update on Saturday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m.: Power has been restored to the Watkins campus and the campus will reopen Sunday, March 8th. Students who live on campus may return after 12 p.m. Classes will resume on Monday, March 9th...
