The Watertown Police Department is currently on scene investigating a serious M/V accident between a Car and a motorcycle on Riverside St. in the area of Tower Rd.  Riverside St. from French St. to Prospect Ave. will be closed until further notice. Please use alternate routes.

The Watertown Police Department will be taking part in this initiative on 04/26/25 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the front parking lot of Watertown Police Department, 195 French Street, Watertown, CT. Residents of the Town of Watertown and Oakville are encouraged to participate.

**Update** Riverside Street has been re-opened. Thank you for your cooperation. The motor vehicle accident remains under investigation.

On 04/30/25 the WPD investigated a complaint a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The WPD has made contact with the occupants of the vehicle in question and confirmed no evidence of any crimes or foul play were present. There was no threat to the public safety

Watertown Police and Fire Departments are in the area of Pleasant View Ave, Oakville for an active structure fire. Pleasant View Ave at Tower Road is currently closed.

Pleasant View Ave at Tower Road is now open. Police and Fire personnel are still on scene.
