This week one of our team was invited to take part in a JESIP multiagency commander course at Severn Park Fire and Rescue Training School with commanders from Avon and Somerset Police Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service South Western Ambulance Service Bristol City Council HM Coastguard plus Exmoor Search Rescue . Monday evening our team were practising our casualty carers following an initial search, where we then had to diagnose, record, immobilise & evacuate by stretcher. Another evening out in the dark and cold. Later more training on station.. HM Coastguard #ToSearchToRescueToSave

Tuesday evening our team were tasked to an injured walker with a leg injury in support of South Western Ambulance Service between #Watchet & #BlueAnchor . Immobilising the casualty we then evacuated using our Cliff rescue stretcher along the coastpath to safety & onward medical care. HM Coastguard

Team tasked to various incidents in the last week including Friday to a dog walker & pet dog who had gone over the cliffs at #Watchet . Dog unfortunately did not survive the fall, but owner recovered safe & well from the water by WatchetSeaScoutsRN63 #SafetyBoat who were on scene.
