Cool stuff happening down here in Autotech! Intro Students are learning all about engines, and speaking of engines, Auto 1 students got the chance to see a REALLY nice one thanks to our friends over at SRS Tire and Auto. Thanks!

Field Trip! Friday we took a busload of Juniors and Seniors over to see the campus of UTI. It's one of many great opportunities our graduates have when they leave the program. This week? GTCC!

Round two! Students from our Autotech programs took a trip down to GTCC to see the great programs they offer. Welding, Machining, bodywork, and heavy/light auto repairs. Pretty cool! Next up? Down to our partners at Caldwell.

Round 3! This week we took students to see our friends at CCCI. Automotive, Welding, Bodywork, and Lineman classes were all toured. Very cool opportunities here!

Another Great SkillsUSA State Competition is over. We had 5 teams compete and came home with 3 winning projects. I'm so proud of all these kiddos!!

The Spring NATEF cookout is going to look a little different this year. We are combining that event with a HUGE car show. Join us from 10 to 2pm Saturday, June 1st For Cars, Food, And Raffles, including 2 cars!! It's here at the high school in the teacher parking lot.

What a cool way to spend the day! Yesterday Heather Smith and I headed down to name the 2025/26 BWF NW Region Teacher of the Year, Tayler Bomar! Congrats!!

That's a wrap! Students from the automotive department traveled to Cape Fear Community College to learn about their marine mechanics programs before heading over to see the incredible Battleship North Carolina. Special thanks to Gear Up for helping fund this great trip!

What a year. My time as the BWF NW Region Teacher of the Year is drawing to a close. Thankfully, my replacement is here to take over. Congratulations to Tayer Bomar. Enjoy the ride, my friend!
