Last night’s OD&D session at Gamers’ Haunt was a blast! The group played smart and managed to get through the session with no PC deaths!

I don’t have a lot of comics, but I am out of space for them.

Movie effects in 1963 were unbelievably impressive. Even with all the technological limitations, filmmakers refused to let those limits hold back their imagination.

I don’t agree with this at all. The DM’s focus should be on being a fair and neutral arbiter who allows the world to reveal itself according the choices and actions of the players. The players can focus on their own enjoyment through their and actions and the choices they make.

I always see these “what is your first thought” things, and my answer is always “the name of the thing”. I see this and I think “fish and chips” and I honestly don’t know how anyone answers differently. My second thought might be something more interesting, but not my first.

As traditional auras, neither is really very good unless you’re putting it on a hexproof creature.

In the top 15 commanders there are 4 Universes Beyond commanders. Practically every time I play in a pod I see UB cards and commanders. Every day I talk to people at the LGS who are excited about UB. Universes Beyond is popular. Most people like it.

According to Luke Gygax on FB, this painting of his character Melf by Jeff Easley will be the cover to “Melf’s Guide to Greyhawk: The Shield Lands” Does this mean there will be several volumes, divided regionally? That would be pretty amazing!

Pleased to report that in tonight's Greyhawk session, I got my wife (the DM) to say "What's a mind goblin?" and "What's ligma?" Does that mean I win at D&D?
