We've been a real Living Wage employer for a few years now, but we're still celebrating! Every day at the foodbank we see how important fairly paid, secure work is - and how difficult it is for workers in low-paid, insecure work, especially when there's no sick pay.

We are so thankful for our awesome volunteers like Mabel, who provide a warm welcome to local people who need to use our foodbank because their income doesn't cover the cost of essentials. Plus tea, coffee, sandwiches, fruit and cake! 👌

Wandsworth Council's online Cost of Living Hub is full of useful info for local people at the sharp end of cost of living pressures. If online's not your thing, you can call them for free on 0808 175 3339 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and see what help is available.

Did you know we provide toiletries, nappies, baby wipes & sanitary items as well as food? When incomes are too low for essentials, people & families are going without basic items they need.

The incomes of people at #foodbanks are so low for 2 reasons:

1.Their work isn’t well-paid or secure
2.They can’t work and aren’t getting enough support to ensure there’s enough money to live on.

We need to change this.

We’re building a future where no one in Wandsworth needs emergency food. While that work is underway, we rely on your donations to provide vital help.

We're closed over the Easter weekend, opening again as usual from Tuesday 2 April.

For us Easter is a time of hope, so we wish everyone love and hope today, however difficult and dark your situation is now. We and others are here to help, and you're not alone.

If you're a Wandsworth resident experiencing hardship, you can apply for a crisis grant from Wandsworth Council - supermarket and prepay fuel vouchers. It's a grant not a loan, so you won't need to pay it back.

Two-thirds of people referred to us in hardship have a disability or long-term health condition. That's why, since the pandemic, we provide home deliveries for people who need our help but can't get to our centres. So grateful to our volunteer drivers who make this possible 👏
