When I read A Work in Progress by Jarrett Lerner I told everyone I knew to grab a copy immediately. I thought I was prepared for Louder than Hunger by John Schu . I knew that it dealt with body issues, food, and hurt. I WAS NOT READY! (1)

(2) I was not ready for how complex his mother and father were in the book. I was not ready for the Voice. I was not ready to see my late grandma described on the pages of the book. What an emotional and absolutely outstanding gift this book is to the world John Schu. Thx!

I download a new read from our Sora app. "For Lamb" by Lesa Cline Ransome shook me with tears in the end. So well done, so important, and so hard to listen to the pain of being Black in America in the South in the early 20th century. Mature readers only is my recommendation.
