I walk against the light for a reason. Walking, biking, transit, & mobility in Greater Boston. Criticism of public agencies is purely constructive.

Still closed, 1000s of people on the Esplanade today. How many will cut their visit short to find a restroom somewhere else?

Can anyone explain why the Harborwalk at InterContinental is being used for parking? Note that parked cars extend well past the end of the alley, and the alley itself (Pearl St Ext) hosted a line of parked cars. Photos taken Monday (4/8).

I counted no fewer than 25 cars blocking the Silver Line lane inbound between Lenox St and Downtown Crossing this morning. This continues because there seem to be no consequences for breaking the law. MBTA MBTATransitPD BostonTransportation Adam Gaffin Mass. Transportation Boston Police Dept.

Gridlock caused by illegally parked cars has been a problem here for years (and outside of an emergency room too!). There has been zero enforcement and absolutely no effort has been made to fix it. 311.boston.gov/tickets/101005…

Boston take note. I've visited Montreal many times, and one thing I noticed recently, they have completely car-free spaces in the center of town. Real pedestrian zones, with no cars 'cutting through' or illegally entering. We must do better in Downtown Boston. Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭 Jascha Franklin-Hodge

If we needed further evidence MassDCR sees the river paths as recreation and not transportation: further narrowing of already narrow path for boathouse construction, next to barren 'green' strip and three car lanes and shoulder Adam Gaffin

Lack of enforcement has been undermining the Summer Street Bus/Truck Pilot.

Is this failure supported by those in positions of responsibility resisting the introduction of new mobility solutions for South Boston?

Where is leadership on enforcement? Carina Flynn

Ever notice how much traffic there is everywhere on Saturdays and Sundays? Would Greater Boston be less gridlocked on weekends if the MBTA Commuter Rail had better schedules? Should the @MBTA eliminate or reform weekend timetables? Maura Healey Mass. Transportation Adam Gaffin The Boston Globe

As for Downtown Crossing, I’d strongly suggest approving a blanket 2 AM closing time (or even 4 AM) before large numbers of residential units are sold, so new residents understand the role of downtown as Boston’s most active and vital destination. cc Downtown Boston BID Office of Economic Opportunity & Inclusion

I’m in a silent battle with an unknown opponent. They move the ped crossing sign out of the street at the intersection of Washington and Evans Streets in Brookline. I move it back into place if I see it moved, but I shouldn’t have to. A driver struck and killed a pedestrian…

At the Providence RIPTA hearing in Providence. Packed room. Just heard from two people from Scituate and Foster who rely on the 10x which is set to be cut. They are fully out of options. Whatever our state leaders might say, this is NOT only an urban issue.
