“Uh… n-no, but I have bandages and… very limited know-how on first aid?”

She gives a small little shrug before rifling through the overstuffed duffle bag and coming away with a rather diminished roll of bandages. “At least you’re still alive when I find you,” she mostly murmurs to herself wearily.

The rest vanish back into the duffle bag that practically carries the teen’s life. “Uh…” For a moment there’s a deer in the headlights look after the question as her brain tries to figure out how to answer that. “Just… the same… I guess…?”

The solution to that is clearly chaos caused by an insomniac teen causing trouble somewhere.

“Nah, don’t need money. I don’t think I’d even accept it from corporate types just on principle.” She tilts her head. “Technically homeless, yeah, but trouble follows me for entirely different reasons. Usually the kind involving ticking off angry, evil, unseen things.”

She may not be saying that for long as the familiar burn-scarred fingers attempt to snatch Jill’s coffee from her desk.

Alex flashes a small, weary grin as she takes a sip of coffee then makes a little face. “I see your taste in coffee is still the same.” She still looks tired as ever, though with a few more visible scars and clothing that’s seen better days.

She pauses for a long moment as she considers the question. “I… I’m surviving. That’s pretty much all I can do,” she admits with a small shrug and an exhausted smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes.

May or may not be doing the opposite of keeping herself out of trouble. On the bright side, she at least hasn’t been shot at this week? “Sorry it’s been a while. Been… lost in a few ways, I guess.”

“Um…” She looks a little awkward, especially when the thought of food makes her stomach audibly grumble. “Just um, just a little…?”

For someone who’s been nearly kidnapped more than once in her life, Alex still isn’t used to it as she just gets tugged along after Aerith. “Um… are you sure? I mean, that’s kinda last minute isn’t it?” She wasn’t used to getting forcibly cared for. At all.

|| I guess my migraines decided to go from once every several months to “we’re gonna hit you every few days and give you scary enough symptoms the nurses at the workplace call an ambulance for you” Xx

She opens and closes her mouth a few times as if trying to find a good way to protest that one and failing to come up with something. “…I mean I technically blame living in a town where the creepy people running it were trying to do a whole fate-worse-than-death thing?”
