This afternoon, as part of the Know Your City training, we went for fieldwork to document and interview Mr. James Kagwe — the visionary behind the Waste to Best environmental group at Guests Inn, Naivasha. Muungano wa Wanavijiji

He's not only leading impactful community clean-up efforts but also actively involved in segregation & sorting of household waste, turning it into useful resources.

He also runs the Gathengera Practical Permaculture Center, where he promotes sustainable living through hands-on practices. This experience gave us, as trainees, a deeper understanding of how storytelling can amplify local solutions and environmental innovation.
