I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 2 - realised my first attempt got realIy messy; saw a video with good practices and began anew. I made a lot of progress today! This is fun :D

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 3 - free trial on Cursor ran out. Spent a while trying to use Claude code in Cursor without any luck. So got on a Cursor Pro plan in order to keep on building. Got notifications to pop up on screen and streamlining a few things!

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 4 - managed to tweak some code without ai thanks to skills from having build websites in Webflow. Set up an app bar and nicer UI. Git is still a mystery! Left the main branch by mistake... Need to fix that tomorrow 😵‍💫

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 6 - created a setting that enables notifications to trigger days and hours in advance. Didn't get it to work properly though. Also had some styling issues.

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 7 - Created a component for modals (pic) for a better user experience, as well as cleaner code. Also managed to finish all basic frequency options. - One time only - Daily - Weekly - Monthly - Yearly

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 9 - spent some time on getting the home screen to show the right amount of items. Not here yet. Also thinking about what a subscription tier could look like and what feature that would be...

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 10 - juggling being a new dad and getting a few hours in with Cursor takes effort. These hours and tiredness is for him. Tweaked logic of when reminders are due and overdue.

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 11 - rewrote how notifications are created in order to fix what populates the 'action needed today' on the home screen. It's not going all too great thb. A lot of testing is taking my time and I'm slowly going forward...

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 12 and 13 - Remind Me app A reminder has two parts; the event and the notification (action). Finished how the home screen displays 'actions needed today' correctly.

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 14 - Remind Me app Problems creating a development build... hours without any progress. Just now found a youtube playlist by Expo on how to build Eas instead of local app. Giving it a shot.

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 15 - Remind Me app The build finally worked! 🤩 all checks came through green! Many tweaks and headscratches later and I can now start creating the proper notification flow. #buildinpublic #CursorAI

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 16 - Remind Me app Struggling but managed to get local notifications to trigger while in app; ie a reminder should notify 1 hour before an event, actually does that now (while having the app open (so far)) ! :D

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 17 - Remind Me app Rebuilding logic due to losses from excess prompting. Notifications and its' event instance are now linked and on the way to actually receiving a 'completed' status.

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 18 - Remind Me app - Started from scratch on two screens as it had become a mess - Added type info as temp info for better dev exp. - Focusing on logic and making sure the right cards are showing at the right places. Feeling good😊

I can't code. I'm building an app anyway. Day 19-21 - Remind Me app - Tweaking logic and fixing minor bugs and behaviours. It's hard to prompt an app and make smaller adjustments. But it's getting closer to a production ready build.
