The proposed boathouse would destroy protected woodland. The lodges would cause further disturbance. We will be asking the park authority to reject these plans today.

Woodland Trust Scotland (@wtscotsocial) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We are delighted that this damaging proposal has been rejected by the national park. We have maintained a longstanding objection, in defence of the woodland habitats at the site.

We are celebrating a victory for woods and trees tonight! We have campaigned against this damaging proposal from the start, and we raise a glass to the many others who fought this battle locally and nationally. πŸ₯‚ #Flamingoland buff.ly/4dZN9Yq

A speckled wood butterfly soaks up some welcome September sunshine at #HermitageOfBraid in Edinburgh.πŸ¦‹ They love to sunbathe in woodland glades.😎 The males are very territorial and fight fierce battles spiraling up into the canopy. Friends of Midmar Paddock #butterflies BC Scotland

Before & after of the paths at #Kinclaven Wood 🌳 πŸ‘£ The new firmer, more level surface should prevent path erosion and enable people with limited mobility to better enjoy the wood. Huge thanks to players of Postcode Lottery who help us look after this special place!

I’ve eaten plums, cooked them, frozen them whole and cooked - to use the glut. Yet there’s more on our trees. BUT there are no WASPs on the over ripe ones for the first time in my living memory. The signals of ecological dangers are more and more evident. We have to change.
