Thank you to Mrs Martin’s grade 1 class for sharing their learning about the Indigenous teaching of the eagle- love, during an assembly last week.

David A. Robertson came to WSP to share his books and stories with us. It was a pleasure to hear David speak about his books and hear him read to us. He also spent time with our grade 5s talking more about books they have read and seeing the projects they made.

Student learning conferences were a big success at WSP! Parents and guardians also shared positive messages on our bulletin board.

In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day, we wear blue today at school!

🗣This year, the ambassador for the Tim Horton's Smile Cookie endeavour is our very own LSSD student, Jacoby. 🙌 ❤️ Visit a Tim Horton's between April 29th - May 5th, 2024 and buy some Smile Cookies!! All Proceeds go directly to the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation.

Ready for recycling through the Staples Depot Terracycle program; a bag full of old markers and pens kept out of our landfill! Doing our part to help our future. 🌎

Spectacular fun at school this week! Our community came together for our Spring Spectacular concert, which had guests dancing and singing along in their seats, finishing with a whole school choir performance.

“Back to School Eve” will take place on Wednesday, September 4th from 4:00-5:00pm. Come and find your class, meet your teacher and drop off your school supplies. The first day of school for students is Thursday, September 5th. Looking forward to welcoming everyone back!
