Great news for our retired teachers, the 13th check funded by the Legislature was issued today. We must continue our work to ensure the TRS fund is sound so we can grant supplemental checks and a long overdue cost of living adjustment for our dedicated retired teachers. #txlege

#AAPI Kalpana Chawla was the first woman of Indian origin in outer space. After the ‘03 Challenger tragedy she was posthumously awarded the Congressional Space MOH. Today, her legacy inspires other #AAPI to break ceilings and make history in the aerospace field.
