This past weekend, we were one of nine programs nationwide to be named a recipient of the Broadcast Pacemaker Award from National Scholastic Press Association! This was our third win and the sixth time in seven years that we've been named a finalist. Congrats to ALL of our 2023 producers and contributors!

This past weekend, we had three individual videos from 2022-2023 place nationally in their respective categories. Two commentary stories placed in the top 4 and one of our news stories placed 5th! Since 2018, we've had 14 entries place in National Scholastic Press Association's Broadcast Story of the Year.

We're super proud to announce that this past weekend 2023 alum Kaylin Herbet was named the National Scholastic Press Association National Broadcast Journalist of the Year! It's the capstone in an already decorated career. Kaylin is currently studying at Miami University and swimming for Miami Swim/Dive.

Congratulations to Caroline Krywonos! She is a statewide finalist for Broadcast Journalist of the Year! This accomplishment represents several years of her hard work and contributions. WROR-TV has now had a finalist in this category in five of the last seven years!

It’s the first day of #STN2024 and we submitted our Crazy 8s entry! We had 8 hours to produce a Podcast Show based on a given prompt. Beat the deadline by a full half hour!

This morning, we went a little excursion taking a hike up to a solid viewpoint of the Hollywood sign! #STN2024

We just wrapped at the 2024 FSPA Convention! Caroline was recognized as a statewide Broadcast Journalist of the Year finalist, we won 5th Place in the Broadcast Commentary Convention Contest, and had three Spring Digital entries receive an All-Florida rating!

This week, National Scholastic Press Association recognized alumna Caroline Krywonos as a Top 10 national finalist for Broadcast Journalist of the Year! She also produced one of two commentaries, alongside Caden Martz and Adyson Armour, that placed Top 10 nationally for Broadcast Story of the Year!
