This is a great opportunity for any Yr10 or Yr11 Whitcliffe Mount student. Fantastic resources to help prepare for the next step, whether its Yr11 and GCSEs or A-Level maths. #Achieve
Massive well done (and of course ePraise points) to Liam G in Yr10. He completed 23 unique Colin Hegarty quizzes during half term! Also well done to the other Whitcliffe Mount students who completed some Hegarty, despite it being the half term week! #Achieve
As a follow up to yesterday's tweet, a perfect number is one where all the factors add up to the number itself. For example the factors of 6 are 1, 2 and 3. These add up to 6. We know there are 4 perfect numbers - can you find any of the others Whitcliffe Mount students? #NumberTheory
Some interesting puzzles here! Might they make an appearance in the weekly newsletter Whitcliffe Mount?
As a follow up to the previous tweet thread... why not share with us and Whitcliffe Mount screenshots of your Colin Hegarty task pages. Be proud of what you #Achieve
For any Whitcliffe Mount student who still wonders what Colin Hegarty could do for them. Lola improved nearly 3 grades and she credits that to Hegarty. If you think you aren't getting the most out of Hegarty, please email or check the help sheet on SharePoint.
Well done to Emily H (Yr8) who is the first Whitcliffe Mount student to be on Twitter for the most Colin Hegarty completed in a week TWICE! This week she completed (another) 24 unique tasks. Also, well done to the other 314 students completing at least one task last week.
We have had some messages from Whitcliffe Mount students about the pass mark on Colin Hegarty. The pass mark from Hegarty is 70% and will go orange if this is achieved (green for 100%). We have added some more detail on the Hegarty Help Sheet in your SharePoint areas.
**New Colin Hegarty Record!** Congratulations to Amelia W (Yr9) who has managed to complete an incredible 44 unique tasks this week! Well done to the other 317 Whitcliffe Mount students who completed at least one quiz. #Achieve
Good morning Whitcliffe Mount students! As we welcome back Year 10 to school, all the home learning materials, instructions and Teams quizzes have been uploaded to the usual place on SharePoint for all year groups! Remember, if you need any assistance, email the staff for your year group
Another repeat Colin Hegarty winner this week! Congratulations Liam G (Yr10), who has completed an incredible 34 unique skills and all of them at 100%. As always, well done to the other 276 Whitcliffe Mount students who have completed at least 1 quiz. #Achieve
Happy Perfect Day Whitcliffe Mount! Both 28 and 6 are perfect numbers. Try totalling the factors of each number (except for 28 and 6, of course) and you will see what we mean!
This week's Colin Hegarty champion is Isabelle H (Yr8), who managed to complete 26 unique quizzes. Congratulations Isabelle - some extra ePraise points are on their way to you! Well done to the many Whitcliffe Mount students who are completing quizzes regularly.
This week's Colin Hegarty superstar is Kieran W (Yr9) who completed an impressive 28 unique quizzes. It's great to see a new name at this late stage of the term! One week to go... we have been impressed by the commitment to learning shown by so many Whitcliffe Mount students. #Achieve
Good Afternoon Whitcliffe Mount students. Here is Mr Hirst doing some maths in the snow! As an upgrade activity, snowfall is often measured inches, can you tell us how deep the snow is and how tall the snowman is in inches?
