Listening to Jill Schoelen on commentary of The Stepfather and she hit the nail on the head with what my #1 issue was with remake and sequels: They ALL focused on a boy! Jonathan Brandis worked for # 2 but the best part of original was an intuitive girl fighting for the truth.

Happy Friday the 13th!

I was just trying to figure out what movie to watch tonight and realized that just b/c Friday the 13th is over, does not mean it has to stop. Currently watching Part VI: Jason Lives followed up by New Blood.

I loved that the 2009's Friday the 13th was a semi-remake of the first four films. Fans would've been mad if it was just the first one with no adult Jason or just part 2 with the sack, etc. It was a good remake, and they were smart with the choice to combine the first four films.

I still think this is one of the greatest shows of all time. I loved it as a kid but was just as impressed by it as an adult.

Okayyyy, so I very much want a return of Danielle Harris as Jamie Lloyd first, but I would SO be down for watching this! I thought Kyle Richards' sequence as Lindsey was the best part of Halloween Kills (and the novelization even gave her a little bit more). I believe you, Tommy!

Oh God, I hope "it is happening again, again." I hope that Hawk is FINALLY checking out that noise in the kitchen. I hope that Mary Reber is a part of it all again, too, b/c she was fabulous. Please please please.

I LOVE 1990's Night of the Living Dead!! It was a worthy remake simply because of the far more capable Barbara along with Tony Todd's performance. Worth it!

Okay, this made me laugh. A lot.

Shining Vale is AMAZING. I wanted to watch it when it came out but did not have Starz (or so I thought. Apparently, we do have it in my house). Finally watched it on Max. Perfect combo of comedy/spooky. The references are fabulous, and cast is perfect. Hoping for a miracle S3.

I don't like coming on here much anymore, but I had to post how sad I am to hear about #DavidLynch. He and his work were beautiful.
