This sums up our club at the moment. We must be the laughing stock of the non league football world. There can’t be many interim managers that last less than 48 hours and don’t take a footstep into the dugout. Even so, good luck Rod.

At the FA Cup game between Tonbridge Angels and Chatham Town today. Notwithstanding the “magic of the cup”©️🤮 it will be interesting to see if there’s an obvious gap between the top end of our division and the NL South.

Turns out there is no gap at all (based on this very small sample size). Tonbridge edged the cagey first half and just about deserved their 1-0 lead at the break. However Chatham outplayed them in every aspect in the second half and thoroughly deserved the 3-1 win.

The home supporters sat near me must have been watching a different game. You’d have thought they were Premier League up against a pub team. And Scott Wagstaff was his usual lovable self. Constantly in the ear of the ref before getting a yellow. You could bet your house on it.

Will take that all night long. Obviously much needed. Can imagine that both clubs might be in for fines given the red and yellow card counts over the two games. #COYW

Can’t help but think that this is what should have happened in the first place. Despite our despair at the end of his tenure at PVR we wish him well.

Is this because the Gills genuinely want to see how he copes at a higher level or a damning indictment of the cluster our club appears to be at the moment? Possibly a bit of both if truth be told. Anyway, good luck to the lad.
