Sierra Leone🇸🇱 is making strides in addressing maternal and infant mortality. With World Health Organization (WHO) support, more than 500 health workers have received 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 training to provide respectful, compassionate care for mothers and children. 👇🏿

As part of mpox surveillance activities, WHO visited the Calabar Town Community Health Centre to support case identification and contact tracing efforts. The team also joined the vaccination exercise, providing support for the vaccination of contacts of suspected cases.

The fight against mpox continues. With support from WHO, the Government of Sierra Leone today received 75,000 additional vaccine doses to strengthen the ongoing outbreak response. Grateful to the Ministry of Health, DRC, for their generous donation.
