Polio Eradication Initiative
Lesotho has established Environmental Surveillance for Polio with the support of WHO African Region
This will improve the sensitivity of Polio surveillance through early detection and response.
Fifty years ago, World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Expanded Programme on Immunization, bringing countries together to provide children everywhere with vaccines.
Since then, vaccination has saved an estimated 154 million lives.
