In a request for extra information from TFL, it turns out that Lambeth council did know about the likelihood of an increase in boundary road traffic BEFORE putting in the experimental LTN where they told locals ā€œwe simply don’t know what will happen. whatdotheyknow.com/request/lambet…

Refreshing view from a local council. Sadly not Lambeth who’d rather use our money in court than sit round the negotiating table 😰

Delighted to announce that we have won the case against Lambeth Council with regards to the LTN. Please press release attached. We know some will be disappointed but as a community we believe in clean air for all not a select few. docs.google.com/document/d/1kI…

Legal challenge won against Lambeth Council’s West Dulwich Low Traffic Neighbourhood following a Statutory (Judicial) Review hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice.šŸ‘‡šŸ¾ It's the same story of injustice across London but poor/black communities can't raise Ā£50k for a legal challenge.

We are delighted that the guardian has written a second piece about the issues with LTNs. We are very much in agreement. This needs national attention now Sadiq Khan Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan No.10 Press Office Steve Reed MP theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

An interesting letter today calling for a new cleaner air / ltn policy maker at Lambeth. One that will perhaps respond to resident & business concerns, especially in light of Sadiq Khan having to step in with Streatham issues…. (((Rezina))) šŸŒ¹šŸ Claire Holland Lambeth Council

The debate continues. We are calling for up to date impartial research to be carried out by a truly independent body not affiliated to any pro or anti LTN groups. Most research was carried out in 2020 which heavily skews data in favour of ltns. Let’s get a true picture in 2025.

There is a lot of chatter about LTNs not increasing traffic on boundary roads. However, here’s a reminder of the last para of the Gov’s summary when it reviewed all LTN research. And remember it’s largely data during Covid when people were at home, not travelling so it’s skewed.

8 months on, this is the traffic at 8am today on one of the west dulwich boundaries. This is not a joke. More fumes, more noise & more danger. Good job the ltn has been deemed unlawful. It needs a rethink. Can’t be clean air for just some. Nb. This video was taken by a passenger

Great piece on Lbc this morning with Nick Ferrari. Good debate but clearly those citing traffic is down aren’t looking at the telraam data which is available to all.

Fascinating study finds forceful cycling campaigners can undermine their own cause. ā€œCycling campaigners are mostly counterproductive due to their rudeness.ā€ theguardian.com/news/2025/may/…

Humiliation for Lambeth Council today as judge rules it must: – Tear down the West Dulwich LTN which it implemented unlawfully by ignoring residents’ legitimate concerns – Pay campaigners' court costs (Ā£35k) The judge also blocked Lambeth from appealing Full story incoming
