This week's Intern Spotlight: Jamie Morris ’21 is a double-major in history and business management. Joining the Starr Center in the fall of 2018, Jamie began as a researcher for an exhibit on the Port of Chestertown. Currently, she serves on the Multi-Media Production Team!

Intern Spotlight: Paris Mercier works to develop an oral history of the African American experience in Kent County through the Chesapeake Heartland Project. Paris would go back to the Black Power Movement to join the ranks of women who challenged gender inequity in the movement.

Katy Shenk is on the National Homefront working on the new education project. The project was inspired by Katy’s Explore America internship at The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History in NYC. Her time there prompted ideas about how to best utilize our collection of oral histories to educate students!

Mari Mullane is working as archival intern for the William Hubbard Collection. She loves this project because of the opportunity to create a finding aid for a new collection that will be useful for researchers of American history from the mid 19th through the late 20th centuries.
