I recently visited West Berks Mencap to learn more about the essential support they provide to individuals with learning disabilities and their families. The commitment of the staff and volunteers was clear, and it's evident they make a real difference, thank you.
Rough sleeping isn’t just about finding a home. As part of my work with Housing, Communities & Local Government Committee I'm looking at the challenges faced by those sleeping rough & how we can improve support. Locally, Two Saints in Newbury is doing incredible work. buff.ly/41U6UO3

I spoke in Parliament this week for our local charities. West Berks Mencap faces £163k extra costs; Volunteer Centre West Berkshire's staffing costs will rise by 18%. Local charities must find £387k next year—money they don’t have time to plan for. buff.ly/4fMQKcs
It was a pleasure to visit Kintbury St Mary’s Primary School this week! The School Captains gave me a brilliant tour, and I had the chance to answer some fantastic questions from the pupils during assembly. I look forward to welcoming them to Parliament soon! Kintbury St.Mary's Primary School
Yesterday, I spoke about the hard work West Berkshire Council is doing to protect vital services. Despite careful budgeting & listening to residents, they’ve had to request £16m in exceptional support to keep services running. The Minister has promised to review this in good faith.
Earlier this week, I hosted a Q&A with Park House in Parliament. We discussed my priorities, party structures, and Ukraine trip. They shared their views on GP surgeries, NICs rises, and defence. To arrange a school visit, contact [email protected]
