Yesterday, farmers from across the UK gathered in London, driving tractors through Parliament Square, to protest the government's proposed inheritance tax changes. This unfair policy threatens family farms. We must axe the tractor tax and protect British farming.

Today, I raised council finances in the Chamber, noting 2/3rds of budgets go to social care. The Minister’s pledge to “fix the foundations” falls short—social care needs full-scale reform. The Liberal Democrats are calling for a Social Care Commission. Social care cannot wait.

This week in Parliament key debates include the Renters’ Rights Bill, aiming for fairer treatment and security for tenants, and the New Homes (Solar Generation) Bill, which I’ll be speaking on. This bill pushes for solar panels on new homes to drive a greener future.
