45 years ago on December 29, 1979, the MV Issaquah joined the Washington State Ferries fleet. "Issy" got its name thanks largely through the efforts of Harriet Fish, an Issaquah historian, who lobbied state officials and later helped christen the first “Rainbow Class" boat.
