Today in WASP History The US Army Air Forces announced that the Women Airforce Service Pilots program would be disbanded. Over 1,000 women were told they would be sent home without veteran status, honors, or benefits. However, their story didn’t end there. We honor their service

Today in Aviation History 📷 On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made history with the first powered, controlled flight. That daring moment paved the way for generations of trailblazers like the WASP, who soared into roles once thought impossible for women.

The WASP Museum will be closed on Wednesday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. We’ll be back in the cockpit with normal hours resuming Thursday, January 2. Thank you for helping us honor the past as we soar into the year ahead. We can’t wait to welcome you back! ✈️
