A physical realization of finite sphere packing problem by enclosing colloids in a flaccid lipid vesicle and mapping out a state diagram that shows linear, planar & cluster conformations of spheres Utrecht University University of Twente (inactive) Hanumantha Rao Vutukuri Out now Nature Communications nature.com/articles/s4146…

🎉 Excited to share our latest research on "Finite Spheres Packing in a convex hull" has been highlighted in New Scientist, thanks to Alex Wilkins! The original article was published in Nature Communications. A fruitful collaboration between University of Twente (inactive) and Utrecht University. #Spherepackings

A comprehensive investigation by Hanumantha Rao Vutukuri revealed the mechanistic intricacies of #endocytosis by highlighting the interplay between the anisotropic particle shape and adhesive strength that can influence the #engulfmentpathway. Read the article 👉 go.acs.org/8GL

🔔 Hanumantha Rao Vutukuri and team demonstrate how variables like #anisotropicparticle shape, curvature, orientation, membrane tension, and adhesive strength interplay to influence #endocytosis. #lipidmembrane Learn more: go.acs.org/92g

We report in Communications Chemistry a new rotaxane to control lipid membranes using light. We can modulate the membrane tension and size of the vesicles.
