Upset I wasn’t able to complete Ramadan this year but I will say that I believe things happen for a reason and I don’t know I would have even caught my condition this early if not for fasting. Hopefully next year my health is better and I am given the strength to do so.

The response to me having Leukemia has been so overwhelmingly supportive. I haven’t cried since getting my diagnosis but I spent all yesterday and this morning crying from the sheer amount of support and love that is in this community. I am blown away at the response and LOVE.

I’ve seen this a couple times and it’s truly breaking my heart that I shared the worst news of my life with strangers and the first thought is to think I’m lying because of the day I shared this. truly wish people learn sympathy and compassion at some point. Talk about tone deaf.
