I got COVID the last week of March and seemed to have recovered okay. Then I lost my beloved transcribing job to a large language model. Then today I went to my GP and came home with two lots of antibiotics plus steroids and am awaiting pathology results.

As the semester comes to a close I just want to give a major shoutout to all of the students who periodically nod while their professor is lecturing.

Those students don’t realize how important their periodic head nods are.

This is the Teotihuacan pyramid of the Sun before the excavations at the beginning of the XX century vs now. A simple hill covered by bushes and trees.

The reason men in the manosphere are so angry at women? Because empowerment for women requires accountability from men. For men, being held accountable, and moreso, *holding ourselves accountable* in relationships where women have equal power requires self-reflection. /1

People often think the most important part of science is the statistical analysis.

But they’re wrong.

The most important part is understanding the data. Who collected it, when, where, why, how, and from whom? Who entered and cleaned it, when, where, why, how, and for whom?

In my role as chair of GIRES I was invited to consult with the Cass review. After three discussions it was obvious that the review had been written before we started. She totally discounted evidence from trans people from the basis of knowledge or lived experience. Useless.

I'm a psychologist w/actual expertise in this area. There is NO evidence that gender dysphoria commonly develops secondary to mental health conditions. There IS evidence that dysphoria, non-affirmation, & bias CONTRIBUTE to the development of mental health conditions. Infuriating

The Cass Review provides no evidence at all to support its actual proposed system.

This is despite applying an impossibly high standard to evidence it wishes to discard. The double standard is glaring.

My analysis of Cass so far;
