3. Concerning emails. Send them 4-5 days before a tournament. We're not checking our email the night before an event. Most of the time we're traveling or having dinner with friends we haven't seen since April.

4. Additional email information: When you send your initial email, please list pertinent info at the front (grad yr, position, GPA, height, club). We're not interested in your sour dough starter kit until the 3rd email.

6. If you're at a tournament and not in the match, we watch to see what kind of teammate you are. What are you doing from the bench to help your team win? Cheering, giving information, taking stats, or sulking?

8. If you stop us at a tournament to introduce yourself, just know we can only say hello and move on. We're not trying to be rude. We're just trying to play by the rules, and make it from ct. 7 to court 188 before warm ups begin.

9. Update your University Athlete! If you're committed, please let the world know. Update your GPA. Make sure your contact information is correct. This is more helpful than any Insta-post.

As a parent of 4 graduated college athletes not one of them had the experience they thought they would have but they had the experience they would need for what would come in their futures. Parents this is a must read for prospective athletes and for you, it will help you too.

PSA-I’ve heard abt 3 Div 1 schools hit by this scam. They call parents in the mid of the night saying their NCAA SA child is in campus custody for alcohol/drug violation (specifics can vary.)Very convincing, w/ names, phone #’s etc. Then ask for $ for diversion program. Be aware
